This unit is excellent value for money and you will find it extremely useful for all your water experiments. Waters do vary alot in their conductivity and Total Desolved Solids (T.D.S.) It is important that you select a water that has a suitable conductivity for charging and ultimately the cell. Many waters and rain it self can be very low around 0.12 or less. This is fairly pure water but in this application we require some natural contaminants or minerals that will allow a conductivity in the range from around 0.48 to around 1.2 and in some cases higher. Some may prefer a higher conductivity but that will generally be acompanied with heavy drop our of 'gunk' which we would rather avoid. |
